The The Employee Suggestion Award Program (ESAP) has been recognizing and rewarding county employees for their ideas and suggestions for almost four decades. Originally adopted by the Board of County Commissioners in January of 1966, the ESAP was transferred to the Unified Personnel System with responsibility for the program assigned to the Human Resources Department (formerly the Personnel Department) in 1975 by the Personnel Board
The program awards cash and gifts to employees for ideas that improve productivity, safety, quality and cost effectiveness.
All employees in the classified service are eligible to participate in the Suggestion Award Program per the program rules . Once you have identified a problem and can detail how your idea will resolve that problem, you’re ready to submit your suggestion. Just complete an Employee Suggestion Form that can either be found online, or obtained by calling Employee Relations at 464-4836.
Completed forms should be sent directly to the Human Resources Department and do not have to go through your supervisor. This direct transmission method preserves the confidentiality and anonymity of your suggestion which is sent to reviewer and the Employee Suggestion Awards Committee without your name being identified.
