Employee Communications strives to keep all employees under the Unified Personnel System informed regarding their benefits, compensation, training, testing, selection and policies and procedures with timely communications by means of:

• Employee Email Link - Ask Peggy, Employee Communications
• Publications

The Employee Communications email link allows Human Resources to disseminate breaking news to employees through the County’s email system. It also serves as a means for County employees to contact the department. The Ask Peggy email link allows current and retired employees to submit questions to the Human Resources' Director.

Employee Communications, in partnership with the National Arts Program, also coordinates the Colors of Pinellas Art Show for Pinellas County employees, retirees and their families. 

Below are Employee Communications’ publications:

• The Pen – the County’s award winning employee newsletter distributed monthly to employees and retirees, both by hard copy and electronically.
  
• The Pen Extra – distributed monthly to employees electronically.
• The Human Resources Annual Report , highlights the work and accomplishments of the Human Resources Department and provides data tables helpful in strategic planning.
