David Bewley

 

David Bewley: Recently retired as Visual Arts Chair from the Pinellas County Center for the Arts at Gibbs High School where he taught Art History and studio courses in drawing, painting, weaving, and sculpture.
A Florida State Graduate, Mr. Bewley is the recipient of Fulbright grants to Japan, the American Academy in Rome and the Virgilian Society in Cumae, Italy. He has also served as Florida Craftsmen Gallery Director and Artist-in Residence for American Stage Theater. David's award winning mixed media assemblage sculptures have been exhibited at venues such as the Tampa Museum of Art; Loyola University, New Orleans; and the Southeastern Center for the Arts, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. His works are included in Great Explorations: The Children’s Museum, St. Petersburg; the Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert, Rancho Mirage, California; and W5at Odyssey, Belfast, Northern Ireland.


Photo Shirley Frank

 

Shirley Frank: A long-time resident of Seminole, Shirley Frank has been an art teacher in the secondary schools and the adult education program for the Pinellas County School District. She taught painting at the Florida Gulf Coast Art center in Belleair for 17 years. Her media has been primarily oil and acrylic painting, but has experience in printmaking, photography and sculpture. Her medium for the past ten years combines transferred ink drawings into her paintings. Shirley is active in the statewide Florida Artists Group, having served as treasurer, and now is a member of the Board of Directors. She received a BS in Art Education from Ball State University in Muncie, IN, and an MA in Art Education from USF in Tampa. In 1982, she studied in Provence, France with the Cleveland Art Institute, and was featured in Watercolor Magazine in 2000. Her works have been exhibited at the Tampa Museum of Art, the Boca Raton Museum of Art, and several venues throughout Florida.



Beth Reynolds

Beth Reynolds: For more than 20 years Beth Reynolds has been documenting the world through her camera lens. In 1995 Reynolds received her MFA in photography from The Hartford Art School after receiving her BA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Trained as a news photographer, she has been creating photo essays for museums, galleries and books to educate and inspire the public. She has exhibited award-winning documentary projects in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Florida, Kentucky and California, and was selected to be the first Photographer Laureate for the city of Tampa in 2003. Currently she teaches at The Arts Center in St. Petersburg and is an adjunct professor in photojournalism at the University of South Florida and Eckerd College. Reynolds started her own publishing company in 1998, The Photo-Documentary Press, inc., and her work is in the collections of the Ringling Museum of Art, Woodstock Center for Photography, MD Anderson Cancer Center, The University of South Florida and many private collections.
