We are still reeling from your excellent show and incredible follow up info, not to mention the NACo article you were instrumental in launching. You have set the bar very high! We love it.

Thank You...you have made this event worth the participation...I am encouraging many people to come t the Courthouse to view this exceptional display of Talent. Photographs will only tantalize them into coming here to view the actual artwork. To gather 151 Artists with 245 Entries for an Employee show is certainly noteworthy to the Pinellas County community.
BRAVO !

Just a note to let you know the presentation today of "COLORS OF PINELLAS" was magnificent. There definitely is a lot of talent from the employees and their families out there and I'm certain there's even more. Hats off to you and all of your coworkers, sponsors and The National Arts Program.

What a show !!!!!!! I haven't been over there to see it in person, but I just saw it on the intranet and wow !!! The entries are spectacular. Kudos. By all measures it must be considered a great success.

I was very fortunate to win a scholarship to the Art Center in St. Petersburg, Fl. during the first Colors of Pinellas contest. Since then, I have taken three classes. My objective was to try different mediums. The first class I took was watercolors. It was a small intimate class. The group got together and went to the St. Petersburg Pier to sketch boats. It was my first experience working outdoors. I next decided to take a course dealing with Pastels. The class was small. It consisted of a gentleman who was having his charcoal paintings displayed at a Bank; another student was a sculptor and her work was outstanding. I was overwhelmed by their talent. I kept expressing how great they were, and the Professor kept telling me to see how well I was doing. I was encouraged by his compliments and I will be displaying two pastel works that I completed in that class during the next art contest. I learned that pastels are different from watercolors when it comes to how they are displayed. I just completed another course with mixed media. I was interested in trying acrylics, but instead I opted for water colors again. I think I felt a little intimidated by my lack of knowledge of acrylics. Anyway, I have enough left in my scholarship fund for two more classes.
I am amazed how enjoyable it is and how I get lost in the art work, and before you know it the class is over. I thank the National Arts for affording me this opportunity.
