April 5th - May 3rd: 5 Weeks to Moving More - Every Tuesday at 5:15

This is a beginner level group exercise class that will cover everything from how to properly warm up, using dumbbells for toning, getting your body moving to burn calories, and cool down stretching exercises.  This 30 minute movement class will prepare you with all the components to create a well rounded physical activity routine for yourself. Email Beth to reserve your spot!  If you are not already a member of the wellness center just contact me to complete the orientation prior to the class starting.  I will need a minimum of 20 people to offer the class.

This total body workout combines cardiovascular training and muscle toning.  Starting with a fun-packed step aerobic routine for a fat-burning workout then followed by strength training with dumbbells and stability ball. Class includes abdominal work, and ends with a soothing final stretch for maximum flexibility. Appropriate for beginner to intermediate fitness levels.

Circuit
This workout combines strength training and aerobic/anaerobic training all in one.  Various circuits offered including a full body circuit, a lower body circuit, core circuit, upper body circuit, etc. By doing the exercises consecutively, your heart rate stays in the aerobic zone, at the same time developing lean muscle tissue.  Circuits are great for all levels, beginners up to advanced and burns more calories in less time than a typical strength training workout.

All classes are held in the employee fitness center, located in the basement of the old courthouse and are free. If you're a member of the fitness center, come take advantage of these great classes! If you're not a member yet, call the Wellness Center Staff at 464-3768 and find out how to join.
