DENTAL PLAN:   You have a choice of 2 dental plans:

The County has a new administrator for the reimbursement type of plan.  The CIGNA DENTAL PLAN replaces the Direct Reimbursement Dental Plan.  The benefits remain the same, allowing members to go to any licensed dental provider and be reimbursed at 100% of the first $150 of covered expenses and 50% thereafter in the plan year up to a $1500 maximum reimbursement per each covered member.   As an enhanced benefit for those enrolling in the CIGNA DENTAL PLAN, a network is also available and choosing a network provider will lower both the member’s costs and the County plan costs!

Cigna Dental Plan 

• Use any dentist or specialist or choose a network provider to reduce your costs.
• No deductibles or pre-existing condition limitations.
• Plan reimburses 100% of first $150 of covered expenses and 50% of next $2700 per calendar year.
• Maximum reimbursement is $1500 per person per calendar year, of which $1500 may be for orthodontics.

Safeguard Dental Plan

• Network benefits only. Required to choose a dentist from the Safeguard network.
• Network providers available
• Annual exams, X-rays, cleanings & most preventative services are free.
• No maximum annual benefit.
• Copayments apply based on procedure performed and established fee schedule 
• Network specialist services provide 25% discount
