Pharmacy Plan:
The County’s pharmacy plan is administered by Medco. You pay no additional contribution amounts for Prescription, EAP and Managed Mental Health and Vision benefits. They are included in your payroll health contribution deduction.
Up to 30 day supply retail*
- $15 Generic
- $30 Preferred Brand
- $45 Non-Preferred Brand

Up to 90 day supply*
(Advantage 90 select Retail pharmacies or mail order)
- $30 Generic
- $60 Preferred Brand
- $90 Non-Preferred Brand
Long-term medications that can be purchased at Advantage 90 or Mail Order but are purchased 30 days at a time instead will have an additional 50% fee starting on the 3rd fill.
* If you enroll in the Choice Plus HSA plan you do not pay copays for your prescriptions. The total cost of the prescription (the WHI discounted rates) will be applied first towards your deductible and then towards your co-insurance. But again, remember your HSA account provides funds you may use first.
Example: if your first expense of the calendar year is a prescription medication and the total cost of the medication is $145.63 that is the amount you will pay. You will not pay a copay. The $145.63 will go towards your plan deductible.
