The Annexation Planning Areas Map establishes geographic areas that are eligible for voluntary annexation by adjoining municipalities. The Board of County Commissioners adopted this regulatory map by ordinance on August 15, 2000, and a Pinellas County Charter amendment approved by a majority of citizen voters a in November 7, 2000 referendum authorized its use, along with voluntary annexation procedures contained in the ordinance.
